SYDNEY -- Australian new home sales rose 0.2% in April, according to a monthly survey released Monday by HIA-Jeld-Wen. The departures come as Clariden Leu combines business from Europe, Switzerland and external asset managers into a division led by former UBS AG (UBS) banker Urs Emmenegger, currently head of strategic development for Lloyds Banking Group PLC's (LYG) private banking arm who joins Clariden Leu August 1. Middle East and Asia private bank head Erich Pfister will expand his role to include Latin America and Eastern Europe. The head of Clariden Leu's products division, Stefan Kraeuchi, will become a "senior advisor" to the bank; a new head for the unit is yet to be named. Clariden Leu will also hire Credit Suisse trust executive Daniela Lohner as head of a market and wealth division, which steers product development.
